Sculptra® Aesthetic is an injectable poly-L-lactic acid which acts as a biocompatible synthetic substance that stimulates collagen production. In a more concise term, it is an injectable cosmetic filler that can be used to restore facial volume doe to aging skin by stimulating collagen production. Unlike traditional HA fillers, Sculptra® isn't adding hyaluronic acid to the area, it is adding poly-l-lactic acid which promotes collagen production over a period of months. While immediate results may be seen from the solution added, the best results are seen a few months from the treatmend date.

As a collagen stimulator, Scuptra® produces results over time and can last up to 2 years. Over time, the body naturally breaks down and removes Sculptra® which is excreted naturally by the body leaving new collagen in its place.

Most patients will require 2-3 treatments spaced 6 weeks apart to achieve optimal results. Results may be noticed as soon as 6 weeks after the second treatment. All good things take time, including amazing results.
